U.S. Turkey Festival pulls out all the stops in Delhi at Farmers’ Basket at Pluck at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity

June is #TurkeyLoversMonth and diners can ‘Talk Turkey’ as they delve into the sumptuous spread at the U.S. Turkey Festival being hosted from 20th June to 6th July at Farmers’ Basket at Pluck at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity.

U.S. Turkey takes centre stage with a menu that’s shaped by the growing awareness and interest in the Indian market to use turkey meat in everyday dishes, because of its health benefits, great taste and versatile range of applications. The beautifully curated menu at the U.S. Turkey Festival showcases inspirations from Italian, Indian, Chinese, and Eastern European culinary persuasions. The USA Poultry & Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) and Pullman New Delhi Aerocity have joined hands in association with TravelDine to pull together this exciting food experience — U.S. TURKEY FESTIVAL at Farmers’ Basket at Pluck, Pullman New Delhi Aerocity. Being held from 20th June, 2022 to 4th July, 2022, the festival puts the shine on many exciting things one can do with turkey meat.

Kick off this epicurean repast with Turkey Carpaccio with Citrus Salad or the Caesar Salad with Turkey. Let your taste buds jump for joy with the scrumptious Turkey Saltimbocca. Saltimbocca (roughly translated as ‘jumps in the mouth’) is a dish typical of the Lazio region, in which the city of Rome is located. This fragrant and luscious Italian dish is traditionally made with cutlets of thinly pounded veal, ham and sage, and is served up with a sauce of marsala or white wine. An interesting variant involves the recipe replacing the veal with prosciutto-wrapped turkey breast. People use this as a nice option for an intimate dinner if they don’t need to buy a whole turkey. Turkey Jalfrezi comes with the piquant bite of an Indian jalfrezi, a delicious stir-fry with its spicy kick of pepper and tomato. Hobby cooks out there, after sampling this yummy dish you can use turkey leftovers to create your own turkey jalfrezi. Hunter-style Turkey Stew with preserved vegetables and chillies is hearty fare you can gather friends around to share any time of the year. With the summer heat still lingering on in June, the Traditional Roast Turkey Breast with Summer Berries is the perfect choice to wrap up the season.

Some of the other signature offerings at the festival are Turkey Schnitzel, inspired by the Eastern European variant of a cutlet made from veal or pork. This is a not a very spicy dish so it goes down well with diners who have a preference for milder fare. You might find it difficult to choose between the Stuffed Turkey Breast with Butternut Squash and Figs and the Buttermilk Marinated Roasted Turkey Breast with Blueberries and Balsamic Glaze — but again, there’s nothing to stop you from sampling both. So just abandon yourself to the foodie adventurer in you. That said, the Apricot-Stuffed Turkey Roulade with Mint Jus sounds pretty enticing also!

There are some other options as well. A Turkey Kathi Roll, a nice twist for the Indian palate, sounds quite interesting, and so does the Crispy Fried Turkey with the bite of Sichuan peppers and dry chillies. A touch of Italian again? How about the Grilled Turkey Panini with Forest Berry Jam and Melted Cheddar?
