Under the COLOURS OF OBLU umbrella, JustWok comes as another fresh contemporary Pan-Asian concept to the Maldives.
From the COLOURS OF OBLU brand comes an exciting new take on Pan Asian dining with the launch of JustWok. Located at OBLU SELECT Sangeli in the Maldives, this contemporary restaurant is included in the resort’s Serenity PlanTM.
JustWok serves bountiful shared platters and playful culinary creations for a convivial, family-style dining experience. In line with the same, individual portions are replaced by large dishes of food.
The idea is for families to feel at home, given the serving and handpicking of delicious food platters and connecting over shared laughs and chatter.
Located in One Banyan mini-island, JustWok replaces the resort’s Simply Veg outlet. As you indulge in a good time and better food, postcard views of the crystalline ocean and swaying palm trees frame the indoor-outdoor restaurant. From delicate cherry blossom patterns on the cutlery to accents of orange and aqua blue hues, there is an overall pleasing aesthetic that leans into the Oriental.
The carefully curated à la carte menu is packed with platters boasting exotic flavours. Aromatic soups, fragrant kimchi, and the daily chef’s special all showcase fresh produce and authentic spices. In the steamed section, you’ll stumble into much-loved Asian favourites, including handmade dim sums filled with shimeji, shittake, cream, and edamame bean dumplings, and classic Har Gaw with beans and prawns.
As for the main course, guests can tuck into blissful wok-tossed delicacies. Right from classics like Kung pao chicken, Mapo tofu, to Reef fish fillet, and Australian Angus tenderloin served with sides of steamed jasmine rice and braised noodles, there’s a lot of heartiness and warmth in every meal.
