Now Jeddah is closer thanks to Vistara’s new international route

Starting August 2, 2022, the non-stop Vistara flight between Jeddah and Mumbai will be a smooth, five-hour journey.

India’s full-service carrier, Vistara has set its vision to expand globally. The Tata Group and Singapore Airlines joint venture has hence announced the launch of another international route between Jeddah and Mumbai. The non-stop flights will start operating from August 2, 2022, and the bookings for the same have already been opened across all channels.

The airlines will schedule flights to Jeddah thrice a week (on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) using one of its Airbus A320s. It will be a five-hour westward journey with an expected turnaround time of one hour. It is the only airline serving this route to offer premium economy as an option to passengers.

Talking about the launch of the new international route, Vinod Kannan, chief executive officer, Vistara, said, “The launch of services to Jeddah will further intensify our presence in the Middle East region. Saudi Arabia shares a strong bilateral relationship with India and is home to a significant population belonging to the Indian diaspora, thereby offering great prospects for Vistara’s growth.”

Interested flyers can now book their direct flights between Mumbai and Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah by visiting the airline’s website, calling the call centre, or through various travel agencies. India’s top-rated airline on Skytrax with several awards under its belt, Vistara will be competing against other major carriers like Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Air India Express along the popular route of BOM-JED.
