Inspired by the hotel’s star fine-dine attraction, the eponymous Falak Wine is a signature meticulously crafted blend.
As the country is levelling up its interest in and love for fine wines and spirits, The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru has brought its own expertise into the fray.
Recently, the hotel announced the launch of its own eminent signature label, Falak, an epitome of passion, research and success. The inspiration for this beautiful blend comes from their immersive fine-dine restaurant Falak, located on the 17th Floor of The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru.
The restaurant offers the best of classic and re-invented elevated Indian cuisine and maintains that consistency is their biggest win. That aside, legacy is something that symbolises Falak which paved the way for the birth of the wine. In association with Grover Zampa Vineyards, an Indian pioneer in crafting wines for three generations located in the foothill of the Nandi Hills came the first stirrings of Falak Wine.
At Grove Zampa, it’s all about achieving perfection through a high-end multi-stage process. Right from the careful selection of grapes from the vineyards to the meticulous processing in the winery. Necessary measures like maintaining delicacy in crushing of grapes, stabilizing the temperature and regular pumping during fermentation and maceration are ensured to give wines their supreme quality with the perfect blend of aroma and taste. If that’s anything to go by, you know that one bottle of Falak Wine is definitely created by the best in the business.
A meticulously crafted blend, this wine is complex, well balanced and magical. Each sip comes with pronounced aromas of red berries and cherries perfumed with floral notes of violets and potpourri roses.
Falak Reserve comes in an exquisite, well-thought Bordeaux-style bottling that is depictive of royalty and legacy. The distinguished label of the Falak Wine is a hand-sketched caricature that was well researched. It portrays the finest essence of all elements in conjunction. The young Chardonnay and the Cabernet Shiraz have been aged in oak wood barrels for over a year to give them a perfect structure and well-balanced tasting notes.
So if you find yourself in the city, Falak Wine is one bottle you need to add to your kitty. Naturally, it pairs best with Indian cuisine, making it a wine you can enjoy both with a regular meal or on that special occasion shared with loved ones! Either way, it’s a bottle that’s going to impress.
