Women are great multi-taskers: Sheetal Singh

Sheetal Singh, the understated General Manager of Ambassador, New Delhi – IHCL SeleQtions, feels the service industry is a great profession for women.

As the General Manager of Ambassador, New Delhi, the capital’s first IHCL SeleQtions hotel, Sheetal Singh is the custodian of a remarkable legacy, considering the hotel is set in an INTACH-listed heritage building, Built in 1947 by the colonial architect Walter George, the building is a poetic medley of British and Art Deco styles that instantly gives guests an experience of the rich heritage of colonial India. Sheetal joined the landmark Hotel as GM in September 2021 after her successful role as Director Rooms at Taj Bangalore. As a leader in championing gender diversity and inclusion, IHCL’s latest appointment is in line with the company’s ongoing efforts in creating an equitable workplace and ecosystem, while empowering women in the hospitality industry.

Sheetal brings with her years of valued knowledge and experience gained from her association with leading international and domestic hospitality groups. She has successfully essayed various roles since joining IHCL in 2008. Sheetal is a hotel management graduate from the Institute of Hotel Management Pusa and did her post-graduation Diploma from the Welcome Group Management Institute.  Sheetal’s expertise lies in improving overall guest satisfaction, bringing innovation in day-to-day tasks, and harnessing team strength. She believes in working with a strong focus on quality and strategy.
