The award-winning establishment Le Beaulieu has reopened its doors to eager diners following a seven-month makeover. Housed at the prestigious Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, this modern French fine dining restaurant has opened alongside their refined al fresco extension La Terrasse.

The restaurant has now levelled up with an elegant and sophisticated new design offering world-class French gastronomy and a wide selection of wines. The signature outpost at Metropole Hanoi ties together the hotel’s 120-year-old storied past with a contemporary new look. With accents of white, gold, and heathery blue-greys, here’s the perfect balance of old-time classic and modern.

The new menu continues to spotlight modern french gastronomy with nods to classic flavours.

“Le Beaulieu has long been one of—if not the—preeminent French fine dining experiences in all of Southeast Asia, and we are delighted to welcome diners back to experience these aesthetic and culinary enhancements, which we are confident will win the approval of the most devoted French culinary enthusiasts,” says Metropole Hanoi General Manager William Haandrikman.

While a lot has changed, the spirit of Le Beaulieu remains the same. It’s evident in the new menu that continues to spotlight modern French gastronomy with nods to classic flavours. There’s also a special emphasis on seasonality and superior ingredients. A chef-driven perspective enhances the restaurant’s inventive approach both to cuisine and service. While there are some traditional French touches, the presentation is stylish, with well-balanced portions and fresh produce from France, Vietnam and elsewhere.

In addition to an impressive menu, Le Beaulieu boasts one of the most extensive wine collections in Hanoi. Featuring more than 600 references and 1,600 bottles, the selection includes over 100 Grand Cru Classés and wines from leading chateaux, vintners and wineries from France and around the world.

The Le Beaulieu experience is further enhanced by a knowledgeable staff that draws on their wine knowledge and experience to offer pairing recommendations. Other beverages, including cocktails, served at the bar as guests wait highlight links to France, and there is an emphasis on unique and high-quality “digestifs” for dinner.

And then there’s La Terrasse, in a league of its own. Inspired by Parisian sidewalk cafes, the alfresco space promises a brand new ambience. An extension of Le Beaulieu, it’s home to refined dining on the hotel’s picturesque outdoor patio. They offer a similar menu to that at Le Beaulieu but with additional lighter-fare options, including but not limited to salades gourmandes, tartines, artisanal sandwiches, starters and more.

In April, Metropole Hanoi was awarded a Five-Star rating—the top level of recognition—from Forbes Travel Guide for the third consecutive year. It was also proclaimed one of “Asia’s Top 30 Hotels” by readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine last year and selected as Hanoi’s No. 1 business hotel by the editors of Business Traveller Asia-Pacific. Metropole Hanoi was also named one of “The 101 Most Incredible Hotels in the World” for 2022 by Fodor’s Travel.

What sets the dining experiences here a class apart are the talented chefs at the helm. Metropole chefs’ trademark signature dishes and other menu items incorporate storytelling, charm, sophistication and authenticity.

So head on there to enjoy a wholesome experience filled with the finest French indulgence.
