FoodTech forum will shed light on IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and foods developed through biotechnology
With increased focus on clean eating and organic, wholesome diet, food entrepreneurs are on an innovation spree.
This year, food entrepreneurs across the world will gather in Spain to take part in the second edition of Food 4 Future – Expo Foodtech, which will display cutting-edge food tech projects transforming the food industry.
The event, which will be held from May 17 to May 19 in Bilbao in Spain, will play host to B2B meetings between potential investors and startups, government agencies, clusters and associations, universities and technology and innovation centres, incubators and accelerators.

“Food 4 Future is a technological event for automation, robotics, packaging and all kind of solutions for the food industry value chain. But we have also achieved food tech leadership with entrepreneurship, startups and investment funds, making them feel a key part of the congress, with a space where there will be content, trends and specific projects for them. It is the emerging companies that can give us new points of view and drive a change in the production model with new business models to reinvent the food industry”, says Sergio Fabregat, director of Food 4 Future – Expo FoodTech.
According to the event website, the Call for Innovation plans to convene more than 2,000 startups that will be pinned at the FoodTech World Map. A Committee of Experts will select a TOP 200 startups and from those, the most innovative projects will be able to make a pitch in front of investors; a total of 20 winners who will have the opportunity to be part of an acceleration program and to meet to relevant investors at Venture capital and leading companies at Food4Future – Expo FoodTech. The call will be open on the website until 14 April 2022.
