3 beer cocktail recipes for rainy days

Mixologist Dushyant Tanwar shares three recipes to delicious beer cocktails for those lazy days of inclement weather.

India loves beer. There are few beverages as refreshing as a chilled beer in India’s hot and humid climes. By volume, the Indian beer market stood at over 5,500 million litres in 2020, and is expected to nearly double to over 9,000 million litres by 2025. Aside from weather, another factor to consider is that in many states, where consumption of spirits is only allowed for adults aged 25 and above, the age limit for beer is lower at 21 years. The popularity of low-ABV (alcohol by volume) beverages has been growing as well, and with it, a number of new trends have made an appearance. Such as beer cocktails. As the monsoon sets across the country, those lazy, rainy days are perfect for curling up on the couch with a delicious beer cocktail.

While traditionally, beer is something most folks drink straight up, as cocktail culture catches up in India and consumers’ health awareness grows, many have taken to drinking beer with a twist.

Dushyant Tanwar, mixologist for Copter7 and Monika Enterprises, shares with us three recipes to delicious beer cocktails for those rainy days.
