If you thought relishing minestrone or handmade ravioli in one of the tented canopies amidst wandering peacocks and mature mango trees at Bar Palladio was a fantasy, wait till you arrive at Villa Palladio, the brand’s new boutique property in Jaipur.

The gracious nine-room country estate is the newest launch in the Pink City, inspired by the fabulous traditions of the great hotels of the past. Conceived as a retreat, Villa Palladio allows guests to indulge in an oriental dream made of bespoke hospitality and careful amenities. About 15 km eastward from central Jaipur, near Sumel village, the boutique retreat stands out, in its grand simplicity, amidst silhouettes of the Aravalli hills and jungle scrubs.

Tucked between Sumel Doongri and the Kanota Lake, Villa Palladio Jaipur offers the perfect serene getaway from the city, even though its merely 25 minutes away. Sprawling on a three-acre land, the property was originally built as a traditional Rajasthani haveli in the 1980s by the late Thakur Abhay Singh of Kanota. Today, Jaipur’s design duo Barbara Miolini and Marie-Anne Oudejans have transformed it into European villa done in a vivid, glamorous ruby tinge paired with light-handed layering of texture and materials.

The rooms are divided into three categories: Superior, Torre Belvedere, and Suite, and each comes donning bold colours and striking patterns, featuring canopied beds, embroidered bedsheets, inlaid marble floors, and Kama Ayurveda courtesy line. Some open to the villa’s luxuriant rose gardens, others have elaobrate bathrooms with tubs and showers featuring hand-carved jaalis.
