Step into a cafe from Wonderland, complemented with authentic European-Indian cuisine. Ammata is the perfect all day restaurant-bar for an exciting culinary adventure!

The show-stopper at Ammata isn’t the delightful European-Indian fusion cuisine, the ever so kind staff, or even the gorgeous interior. It’s the Ashtray, a dessert that looks true to its name, and is a resounding testament to the innovative cuisine on the menu.
The all day restaurant-bar in Andheri is a magical garden come alive and true to its Spanish origins, exudes love all across. Ammata is a neoclassical concept space reminiscent of vintage European bars, inspired by art deco revival styles in architecture.
The space transcends from a cafe to a high end cocktail bar through the day. With suspended green elements, art deco lamps and chandelier, the design renders a bespoke, robust and light hearted ambience conducive to serious dining and lends itself to becoming a high energy bar after sun down. The outdoor area lends Ammata a casual high end vibe, perfect for a pleasant evening.

A deep dive in the menu is impossible without hitting the desserts first. The Ashtray is an easy winner, looking like one and tasting incredible. Edible cigarettes filled with dark chocolate ganache are placed on a bed of Oreo crumble. A dip of your spoon will unveil a Bailey panna cotta hidden underneath, as decadent as anything else.
Additionally, the Palangtodh and dark chocolate brownie are equally delicious, a delightful amalgamation of all things indulgent and refreshing at once.

There’s much to look forward to on the savoury end of the spectrum as well. Hot favourites on the menu include a Sriracha hummus kulcha hors d’oeuvre with oven-roasted tomatoes, bocconcini cheese, and drizzled with sriracha hummus presented in an open taco form.

The Burrata is a must-try as well, equal parts fresh and creamy when served with a Mediterranean olive salsa and chilled spiced Spanish soup. It is the Haleem Boreks that earns iconic status however. A 12-hour slow cooked Hyderabadi lamb with broken wheat and lentils, it’s spiced with rose, cinnamon, and cloves in a dumpling with vegetable charcoal aioli and pickle radish. Need we say more?
What’s a good meal without a great drink to complement it? A drink to share with someone you care about is definitely The Secret Garden. A nod to the mystical garden vibes of the restaurant, it’s a refreshing drink resembling a garden. The Ammata Crusta is also a concoction to fall in love with. A mix of brandy, sweet vermouth, and nostalgic vanilla honey for a finish, it’s unmissable.
Lastly, if you enjoy tea, the Chamomile Colline is the ideal “tea-se” — a must-try evening gin cocktail made with chamomile and honey.
