Price: Rs 66,999 onwards

OnePlus’ new tech flagship is one of the sharpest mobile shooters you can buy right now. It should come as no surprise. Last year OnePlus announced a partnership with iconic Swedish photography brand Hasselblad. The first images of the moon landing as part of the Apollo 11 mission were captured on a Hasselblad camera. It made a significant impact on the camera prowess of the OnePlus 9 Pro, the brand’s 2021 flagship. This year, it gets even better thanks to computational photography.

The OnePlus 10 Pro is easily one of the best looking premium smartphones we’ve seen. We dig the new Emerald Forest colour option. But more than this gorgeous shade of green, we like how OnePlus has tweaked the placement of the rear camera lenses.

Speed is a given with OnePlus devices. The 10 Pro is propelled by the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The top-end version comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal storage. Everything from the camera to gaming is faster.

The immersive 6.7-inch (3216 x 1440 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate makes for the perfect binge watch or gaming screen when you’re on a long transatlantic flight.

Almost ever since the first iPad debuted in 2010, the debate has raged about the productivity credentials of large tablets. Apple altered the discourse in 2019 with the launch of a dedicated iPad OS that brought some laptop-style features to an iPad. Then came the iPad Pro in 2021, the first iPad to be powered by its formidable M1 chip. This turbo charged the iPad. Apple unveiled the new iPad Air at its ‘Peek Performance’ event in March. The headline feature of the new tech-rich fifth-gen iPad Air is the M1 chip.

In terms of design, it’s identical to its predecessor that brought a whole new design language to the iPad Air. The 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display features advanced technologies like True Tone and P3 wide colour that make it a great screen for movies or graphic novels on the go. Apple added the USB-C port to the 2020 iPad Air. That USB-C port now offers 2x faster speeds and allows you to connect to a whole bunch of accessories. You can also pair this with Apple’s Magic Keyboard that aims to replicate the typing experience of a MacBook. It’s just what you need for a half-day business trip or a short holiday when you might need to occasionally switch to work mode.

The Air also gets the new ‘Ultra Wide’ front camera that’s soon becoming a standard for iPads. This camera with ‘Center Stage’ enables a more natural video conferencing. The new iPad Air comes in a cool new blue and is also 5G ready. But, most of all, the iPad Air’s appeal as a travel essential stems from the iPad OS, which allows you to flit effortlessly from work to play mode.
