Drawing inspiration from the legendary parties of Tulum, Mykonos and Ibiza, Raeeth in Vagator has all the makings of a stellar night out.

Raeeth means sand in Sanskrit but here it means rejuvenation, say the owners who have been serial entrepreneurs behind several restaurants in Mumbai. Right next to Antares, on the Vagator beach road, Raeeth will pleasantly transport you to a desert-like atmosphere complete with a plunge pool and the right tunes. The group behind Raeeth are the co-founders of Bombay Adda and were also part of many ventures in the nightlife space for the past 15 years in Mumbai ranging from Alibii, Hype and Playboy to Saizen and Kitty Su. They have great plans for conquering the Goan dining and nightlife segment. With inspiration drawn from the parties in Tulum, Mykonos and Ibiza, Raeeth does attempt to be a promising venue for a stellar night out.
Adding to their advantage are their delicious food options, an open kitchen and a wood-fired pizza oven. Raeeth creates an atmosphere of effortless indulgence combined with live entertainment, art and music. It feels luxe yet its leisurely vibe gives you a sense of comfort and adds to the prerequisites of a fun night out.
Chef Rakesh Talwar, hailing from ITC Mumbai and after various stints in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and USA along with Chef Abhishek Gayaan have come together to give us a great blend of international cuisines. While Goa definitely attracts a lot of sea food aficionados, Raeeth is offering banana-wrapped fish on a live counter and the red snapper is sure to snap away those blues with its mild but citrusy taste. The tiger prawns or the salmon crispy wontons are hot favourites already.
The Habanero Chicken Roulade is the chef’s choice if you want a zesty start to your evening. It consists of rolled-up pulled chicken unfolding an array of spices and flavours. The Emperor’s Chicken Tikka — fiery with that extra kick, and served with yogurt and mint sauce — is a close contender. Vegetarians, fret not, Raeeth has you covered — they even have options in Goan cuisine for your palate, for example, the interesting poipockets with mushrooms.
Raeeth’s wine list is beyond a fine collection of spirits. It reflects the restaurant’s philosophy that wine is an integral part of a bespoke dining experience, tailored to each guest’s individual palate. Equally impressive is their cocktail menu with classic and signature options.
“The bar experience will be Raeeth’s crowning glory. Raeeth shall offer a wide variety of handcrafted cocktails and mocktails all in keeping with the energetic ambience. Some of our signatures such as ‘Wake me up’, ‘Golden mine’ and ‘Baby lips’ will have you dancing the night away,” states partner Ketul Parikh.
The aesthetic and food are what Raeeth is made of but it’s the music that Raeeth wants to be known for. Raeeth sees itself as a “dining experience” alongside a carefully programmed musically upbeat environment. which does not give patrons any reason to leave long after dinner is done and they are a few drinks down.
