The 2.8 kms ropeway is an especially spectacular feature. Called the Skyview Gondola, it’s the highest in India (and even Asia) in terms of ground clearance (over 65 metres), taking you on a scenic ride over lush pine forests. It features one of the longest spans (849 metres) between towers and the gondolas are custom crafted for a year-round experience. The infrastructure, including the eight towers, ropes, and 18 spacious cabins, have all been imported from France through technology partner POMA – one of the world’s leading brands in ropeway transportation.

The entire ropeway adheres to CEN (European) standard certification making it the safest ropeway in the world. The Skyview Gondola was the first step towards setting a benchmark for responsible tourism and green mobility as it eliminated the 45- to 60-minute road journey to Patnitop from Sanget Valley to just 10-12 minutes. While the Gondola commenced operations two years ago, this space in Sanget-Patnitop has steadily been developed to encompass a whole range of experiences.

A recreational area adjacent to the Skyview Gondola’s upper terminal at 2,024 metres in Patnitop, a hill-station known for its natural beauty featuring meadows and surrounded by the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas, has been dubbed the Skyview Terrace. This is the perfect setting for bespoke culinary experiences, private celebrations, and customised get-togethers with personalised service by Skyview’s F&B team.

Local luxe

Skyview has also partnered with select hotels to accommodate visitors, as well as local experts to make a range of thrilling adventure activities off-site with trained and experienced guides promise accessible too. Enjoy a scenic hike on their 2.5 kms Skyview Leisure Trail or get in gear biking through three-kms or five-kms trails through the wild pine and deodar forests of the Himalayan foothills equipped with MTB safety gear, guided by qualified instructors.
