Bold Cut-Outs

Nothing says bold and breathtaking like unexpected cut-works. Oblique cut-outs in bodycon dresses are answers to prayers for effortlessly and carefully tasteful looks. Designers like Gauchére, LaQuan Smith, Ester Manas, and Coperni played around with cut-outs at waists of the majority of silhouettes at Paris Fashion Week this season.

Top Layers

Oversized coat over a skinny mini dress, leather catsuit over a fuzzy blouse, or a knitted dress paired with thigh-high boots, brands took layering quite seriously this time, and for good. Then, there were big blazers upon big blazers for a signature silhouette! Dior, Emporio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, and debutante designer Cecilie Bahnsen were among top brands that showed how its done.

Mini Skirt-Suits

Trust designers like Miu Miu and Rokh to create chic-yet-cheeky looks with mini skirts. Think midriff and leg-baring mini skirts paired with body hugging tops, smartly tailored blazers, and knitted hosieries. Mini skirt-suits are the ‘It’ look this season, ranging from classically trimmed to pleated, ruffled, and leather versions. AMI Paris here gave major #workoutfitgoals with this tweed mini skirt-suit here!

Feather Trims

When have feathers not worked on runways? This time in Paris, the approach was to create subtle looks with textured fluffy trims for collars, sleeves, rims, and skirts. Germanier, Elie Saab, and Balmain are among the brands that played their ruffle game well!

Dramatic Baggies

Comfort never goes out of style, and baggies prove it each time. Paris Fashion Week 2022 saw a number of fashion houses sport slouchy denims, oversized coats, and giant jackets. Baggy bottoms with tattered edges, frailed hemlines, whimsical patchworks and cargo pockets are making voluminous ensembles more fun. Watch out for Louis Vuitton, EYTYS, and Marant for the trend. Givenchy’s pearl-encrusted jeans deserves a special mention for making rounds of the internet already. Be into those comfy pairs on your next bike trip!
