Jointly organised by Messe Düsseldorf India, ProWine Mumbai 2022 brings together the wine and spirits industry to a global platform with a large-scale trade fair and conference programme.
ProWine Mumbai, a two-day annual international event, is steaming ahead as the largest platform in India for wine, spirits, craft beverages, and the hospitality industry, as well as for wine enthusiasts. To be held on October 17 and 18 at the Jio World Convention Centre, the global platform opens the doors for international and Indian wines, spirits, and craft brands. It will showcase brands and products not only through exhibit displays but also through live tastings, enabling industry and consumer engagement and peer-to-peer contact.
Co-organised by Messe Düsseldorf India, in partnership with All Things Nice — founded by Nikhil Agarwal, India’s leading wine and spirit expert, writer, and international wine and spirits competition judge — the show plans to bring together India’s community of brands, importers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers, along with international brands looking to enter the Indian market. Noteworthy large-scale buyers including hotels, restaurants, bar owners, and wine enthusiasts will also benefit by this initiative which creates a unique meeting point.
The power of ProWine Mumbai Night
The ProWine Mumbai Night — on October 17 — promises to bring together luminaries of the wine and spirits industry, leaders of the hospitality industry, eminent media persons, and key exhibitors from across the world under one roof, making this the most prominent wine and spirit event of the year.
The India Wine Awards is the country’s most prestigious competition that sets the benchmark in excellence by rewarding the best wines — both domestic and international — available in the Indian market. It is founded and chaired by Sonal Holland, India’s first Master of Wine.
Women’s empowerment and Masterclasses at ProWine Mumbai
Holland also joins ProWine Mumbai to create a special session emphasising the influential role of women in the Alco-Bev Industry in India. A curated panel discussion on ‘The Rising Role of Women in the Indian Alco-Bev Sector’ will see some of the most revered women in the industry being felicitated. The winners at the India Wine Awards will be revealed on the glittering night of October 17 as well.
Masterclasses ProWine Mumbai will also host 15 sessions over two days of complimentary masterclasses, bringing together the best of knowledge and a range of wines, gins, whisky, sake, and spirit tastings. The masterclasses will be courtesy WSET Global, international governments, leading wine authorities, master distillers, and brand representatives.
A platform with international support
Over the past 25 years, ProWine has become the most important marketplace for wines, spirits, and craft drinks. ProWine Mumbai has grown exponentially since the last edition and the event has witnessed an encouraging response from the industry with participation of over a thousand brands from across the world covering wines, spirits, craft beverages, and allied segments. Participating countries include Italy, Armenia, Austria, Switzerland, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Finland, Germany, and India.
