The luxurious Taj Lakefront positions itself as the new landmark of Bhopal, incorporating local arts and crafts into its design and offerings.
South Asia’s largest hospitality company announced the opening of its new hotel, Taj Lakefront in Bhopal. With its landmark location and contemporary design, the hotel draws inspiration from the rich architecture, history, and culture of Madhya Pradesh.
The Taj Lakefront, Bhopal epitomises true luxury, with panoramic views of the upper lake and picturesque hills. Just 25 minutes from the international airport, this iconic landmark symbolises the soul of Bhopal and its vision for tomorrow. The magnificent structure by the lakefront redefines fine living with its modern interiors, ornate and luxurious finishes. The design is intuitive to the region and inspired by the bell metal craft of Tikamgarh, the lakes and Zari work of Bhopal, the paisley prints of Bagh, the Durries of Sironj, and the Terracotta art of the state’s tribal areas.
Ready to be the new landmark of Bhopal, it opens its doors to the world with 142 rooms and 10 suites. It also introduces two signature restaurants – Machan, the popular all-day diner, and House of Ming, with its renowned Chinese cuisine. Guests can also enjoy innovative cocktails at the Infinity Lounge and Bar and a selection of brews and bakes at Emperor Lounge. With its tastefully designed banqueting and conferencing spaces with independent access and breakaway rooms, the hotel is perfect for events and weddings. The Jiva Spa, a gym, tennis court and the city’s first rooftop infinity pool offering stunning views are all part of its charm.
Thanks to its central location by the lake, it is close to the Van Vihar National Park, Sanchi Stupa, National Museum of Mankind, Taj-ul-Masajid, the largest mosque in India, and the seventh largest in Asia, and many other sights that make the city interesting.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, says, “IHCL’s iconic brand, Taj, steps into Bhopal with Taj Lakefront. This addition is in line with IHCL’s strategy of being present in every state capital. Bhopal, one of the greenest cities of India, has tremendous business and tourism potential.
