In the spirit of Halloween and the release of Hocus Pocus 2, Airbnb has announced a special rental for the spooky sisters’ cottage in the woods! Do you dare?
The spooky Sanderson sisters are back, and this time, you can be a part of their resurrection! Just in time for the siblings’ return in Disney’s Hocus Pocus 2, which released on September 30, the spooky cabin that Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson called home for 300 years, has been made available for a special limited-time rental by Airbnb.
“We all know that the Sanderson sisters’ story might not have ended when we turned to dust, nor did our shenanigans,” shared Kathy Najimy, who plays Mary Sanderson in the movies. “What better way to celebrate the season than to host guests at the trio’s historic haunt for a night they will remember for years to come?”
Located deep in the woods of Salem in Massachusetts, the cottage has been thoughtfully recreated. As though untouched by time, the spooky old cabin stands tall amidst the trees, beckoning visitors as if by trance. Inside, you walk along the creaky wooden floorboards and witness treasures like the infamous spell book, the cauldron, or the black flame candle. You even get to explore cupboards filled with curious tinctures, like the broomsticks and apothecary bottles, blood of an owl, and herb that’s red!
Guests can also try their hand at enchantments enshrined in the ancient spell book, and later, explore the rich history of Salem with visits to some of the town’s most haunted sites. If that’s not an experience eerie enough, there will also be a special screening of the Hocus Pocus sequel to get you in the Halloween spirit. The cottage, however, doesn’t come with much facilities, so Airbnb has added a modern outhouse just steps from the home for your convenience.
To support the next generation of the historic city, following this activation, Airbnb will make a one-time donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, which aims to ensure that success is within reach of every young person who walks through their doors.
