Sleek design, contemporary art, decadent culinary experiences, and breathtaking city views—here’s why SLS Dubai should make it to your itinerary on your next vacation.
Sleek design and contemporary glamour are hallmarks of SLS Dubai, the latest addition to the city’s glitzy Downtown district. Developed in partnership with World of Wonders Real Estate, the hotel marks the expansion of the international SLS Hotels & Residences brand, from hospitality veterans Accor, into the Middle East.
At an impressive 75 storeys, SLS Dubai is one of the tallest hotels in the region, but the clincher is the 360-degree views over the city with unobstructed views of the iconic Burj Khalifa and Dubai Creek. It features 254 keys, 371 residential units, and 321 hotel apartments, all tied together by glamorous modern design (think chic marble floors and glittering chandeliers), sleek accents, and contemporary art conceptualised by acclaimed architect Paul Bishop.
The hotel features rooms, suites, a penthouse and service apartments. The Sky Family King Suites are fitted with chic furnishing in soft greys, cream and pastel red accents. A private balcony allows you to enjoy the sights of the city from the lap of luxury. The open plan apartments offer equally elegant living quarters. Each detail, from the wooden staircase to the striking contemporary artwork, speaks of fresh, modern luxury.
On the 71st floor sits the Sky Lobby, which offers more views of the city’s skyline (could one ever really get tired of them?). Floor-to-ceiling windows and a grand marble bar are the highlight of the S Bar, a lounge area where the menu is playfully divided between healthy, and decadent. For some Instagram-worthy shots, head to the hotel’s lounge and nightlife venue, Privilege, on the 75th floor. Here you can hop into one of two infinity pools and gaze upon panoramic views of Dubai. For a really memorable experience, book a spot at 12 Chairs, an exclusive caviar bar reserved for a select few. End your day with a meal at Carna, a steakhouse helmed by legendary Italian butcher Dario Cecchini, which features an open kitchen, bar, private dining room and wine cellars.
