The programme will offer discounts at more than 10,000 restaurants across India and Dubai as well as customised birthday celebration offers for premium cardholders.

If you hold an Axis Bank card, your dining out experience is about to get a whole lot sweeter. India’s third-largest private sector bank partners with EazyDiner, the leading table reservation, food discovery, and restaurant payment platform to launch Dining Delights.
This unique and enriching dining experience is slated to offer a host of benefits, including the option to choose from over 10,000 premium restaurants, instant confirmation on table reservations, and exclusive offers on dining reservations made through the EazyDiner app.
After a long period of pandemic-induced stagnation, the dining out market has rebounded hard. As per EazyDiner’s real-time data analytics, there has been a surge of 132% in the number of customers dining out at premium restaurants as compared to pre-Covid times.

“Mumbai has led this recovery followed by Delhi and Bengaluru. One of the surprising markets that has overtaken the likes of Hyderabad and Chennai is Goa, aided no doubt by the entire travel market moving there during the pandemic,” says Kapil Chopra, founder of EazyDiner.
He also adds that a lot of their business is also coming from tier-II cities such as Vizag, Agra, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Pune. Given this robust growth, the Dining Delights programme is aligned to serve an increasing number of customers who want choice, variety, and convenience while dining out.
So, what’s the offer? Axis Bank cardholders can now expect up to 40% discount at select restaurants in India and Dubai. The discount percentage varies basis the card category, of course, but the offer is applicable to all. What’s more, it’s a double treat since the offers are over and above existing EazyDiner discounts.
Sweetening the deal is an exclusive birthday celebration experience for premium cardholders. There are personalised dining recommendations for your birthday by the culinary concierge at EazyDiner, as well as a 50% off on the meal (up to Rs. 3,000). You can also expect a complimentary birthday cake or signature dessert to celebrate the occasion. Minimum spends apply across all the offers, but the programme certainly gives you a better bang for your buck compared to most other offers in the market currently.

“At Axis Bank, we have always prioritised our customers’ need and their convenience. Through this distinctive partnership with EazyDiner, we aim to ensure that our customers get the best dining experience by easily booking premium restaurants, while also availing exciting discounts and offers,” says Sanjeev Moghe, President and Head–Cards & Payments at Axis Bank.
This is not the first time that the bank has come up with a dining programme. But by Moghe’s own admission, customers were not very impressed with the earlier offers, which explains the admittedly eye-popping discounts on Dining Delights.
Chopra sounds an upbeat note on the collaboration. “The whole proposition of EazyDiner is to make dining out friction-free. We have developed the fastest booking experience under 10 seconds. EazyDiner Prime customers enjoy a guaranteed 25% off at every premium restaurant. With this partnership, there is an assurance that every time you book and eat out at a restaurant on EazyDiner and pay on the app with your Axis Bank card, you will enjoy exceptional savings,” he says.
While Dining Delights is currently available at about 10,000 restaurants in India and Dubai, Chopra says that they plan to add 1,000 restaurants every month.
How sustainable is this offer and will restaurants be burning money? Moghe says that both Axis Bank and EazyDiner have worked on this proposition for more than 8-9 months and have crunched the numbers to confirm that the economics of the offer work out.
Chopra adds that restaurants can customise their offers in real-time, so they are not really losing out. “The restaurant industry has had a tough couple of years. It’s great how a top Indian bank has come together with us to support the industry. Customers are now eating out 3.2 times a month as opposed to 2.1 times a month pre-Covid. So, business is back; what we are doing is accelerating it with this partnership,” he says.
