Louis Vuitton is all set to enter the hospitality space with a brand new opulent hotel at its Paris headquarters.

Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has planned a fashionable foray into the hospitality sector. In a recent interview with Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), CEO Michael Burke announced that the brand’s Paris headquarters is on track to become a luxury hotel.
Apart from functioning as a hotel, the 3,716-square-metre headquarters will also serve as a retail space and house the brand’s largest store in the world, Burke added. Louis Vuitton’s corporate headquarters is located at Rue du Pont Neuf, near the 13th-century Church of Saint Germain l’Auxerrois, making it an absolutely spectacular location with iconic landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower and Notre-Dame de Paris in sight!
The hotel will take 10 years to be ready for the launch. As part of the transformation of the headquarters, Louis Vuitton will host an experiential space called LV Dream, starting December 12, 2022. Unique experiences will be on offer for one year, including a chocolate shop by Cheval Blanc Paris head pastry chef Maxime Frédéric, a gift store, and collaboration works between artists and the brand.

The brand’s parent company, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, also has the boutique luxury hotel brand Cheval Blanc and high-end hospitality group Belmond within its fold, and the new property will join the Cheval Blanc Paris in LVMH’s Parisian hotel portfolio. As per reports, LVMH also spent close to USD1 billion on acquiring and renovating La Samaritaine in the vicinity.
Burke revealed that the area the LV Dream pop-up is set to occupy could eventually become the location of Louis Vuitton’s largest store. “It’s going to be a work in progress for the next 10 years. The exhibition space has a one-year shelf life, and then next year, we’re going to do something else,” he added.
Other than Louis Vuitton, other historic brands like Christian Dior and Fendi have also converted their office spaces into more inclusive areas, housing everything from stores to restaurants and an atelier to a hotel in the past.
