The event will be driven by the legendary Pradyumna Singh Manot (aka Paddy). He has quickly built a reputation as one of India’s most talented Latin Jazz pianists. His core band, including drummer Tamaghna Mukherjee (aka Bihu) and bassist Aditya Servaia, will hold centre stage at The Leela Palace Chennai. Joined by Aniket Chaturvedi on the saxophone and vocalist Sartak Kalyani, they’ll make up Paddy’s Hot Five.
Chennai’s Carnatic Music Season has become a global event and kicks off each year in mid-December. TravelDine Jazz Nights will be a prelude of sorts and take place at a time when Chennai’s mercury drops and there’s that rare nip in the air.
