Tacos, tequila, and Tuesdays. Who knew alliterations could be so fun? Thanks to Binge by Bastian, your week is about to get a much-needed upgrade!

There’s a lot of talk of Monday blues, mid-week blues, and Sunday sads. Here to turn the spotlight onto Tuesday in the most delicious manner is Binge by Bastian.
The fun, casual cousin of Bastian, Binge by Bastian has carved out an easy niche for itself as a hub for modern world cuisine served on small plates. Add to that the selection of extraordinary cocktails, and you have a winning experience at hand. It helps that the alfresco and indoor seating come with distinct yet cosy vibes, giving you a chance to focus on what’s in front of you in a casual refined environment.
And it’s all of this very expertise that seems to have culminated in their recently launched Taco & Tequila Tuesdays!
The menu served in addition to the regular a la carte delivers exactly what it promises. It helps that the selection is concise, and seems to have taken a wide range of dietary and flavour preferences into account. On each plate come two not-so-dainty but highly appetizing tacos served alongside a tequila-based cocktail of your choice.

While most places create the setting for server recommendations, this is one meal you should explore on your own. If your gut says Baja Avocado Taco, wholly embrace it. The soft tortilla shell is topped with generous amounts of animal cabbage, beer tempura, red and green jalapenos, confit salsa, pico de gallo and avocado mousse. The result? Ultimate messy bliss as you indulge in tangy, creamy, and well-balanced flavours.
If you love your mushrooms, the King Button Mushroom taco has your name written all over it. Served with sautéed mushrooms, guajillo chilli chiffonade, bean puree and crispy kale, there are just enough ingredients to provide texture without taking away from the hero ingredient.
Non-vegetarian diners fret not, because the team is coming in hot and strong on this one. When the Grilled Red Snapper taco first comes to you, it might be a little intimidating. One bite of the adobo-rubbed and seared red snapper fillet, however, and you’re instantly back for more. Served with citrus-salted cucumber, guacamole, pico de gallo and white pickled onions, it’s finger-licking good like nothing else.

An easy favourite of mine, however, has to be the Barbacoa Lamb taco. Like its peers, it’s got messy written all over it. But the spice of the ancho chilli, tenderness of the guajillo chilli lamb, and freshness of chopped coriander and onions to cut through the richness make this a winner.
While the cocktail menu is definitely top-notch, it, unfortunately, pales in comparison to the food on the table. The tequila-based margarita menu features options like Milana Margarita, and the Green Forest Margarita made with tequila, lemongrass syrup, fresh basil, cucumber and lime juice. It delivers what a textbook margarita riff should, but doesn’t really offer anything new.

Comparatively, the Beneath Heaven is a far better offering and complements the avo taco quite well. Made with tequila, litchi juice, coconut syrup, and lime juice, shaken and served with blue pea-infused smoked aniseed vodka float, it’s interesting, Instagrammable, and quite tasty.
If you’re looking for a fail-safe delicious dinner on a Tuesday, look no further than Binge by Bastian.
