Each of the four cities will have their own athletes’ village and will deliver a 16-sport programme in world-class regional sporting venues. Arrangements will be made to host athletes, officials, as well as fans flying down from across the world. Shepparton will also host sporting and cultural events as part of the Victoria 2026 event. There will also be a strong para-sport program with six sports already locked in.

Hosting the 2026 Commonwealth Games will create a legacy for Victoria that extends well beyond the competition period. This will include significant investment in community infrastructure in regional Victoria, including housing and world-class sporting facilities.
