The Radisson Hotel Group debuts its Radisson Individuals brand in India

The Classic Grande Imphal in Manipur is the first Indian property under the Radisson Hotel Group’s Radisson Individuals platform, a conversion brand that allows independent hotels and local chains to affiliate themselves with the global hospitality brand.

The Radisson Hotel Group has launched the Classic Grande Imphal in Manipur, its first property in India under the hospitality brand’s Radisson Individuals banner. Initiated in October last year, Radisson Individuals is a conversion brand that offers independent hotels and regional chains the opportunity to be part of the hospitality group’s global platform.

Catering to both business and leisure travellers, the Classic Grande Imphal is strategically located nine kilometres away from Bir Tikendrajit International Airport. The 54,000sq ft property overlooks the scenic Baruni Twin Hills and features 171 rooms, two banquet halls with a capacity of upto 250 people, and meeting rooms. Guests can choose among three dining options—Atrium, the coffee lounge; Aroma, a multi-cuisine restaurant; and Panorama for grills and kebabs. The hotel also features a full-service spa, Oriyana; a fitness center and a pool.

Radisson’s vision for global expansion 

Radisson Individuals is the latest initiative by the Radisson Hotel Group to expand its global footprint. “We created Radisson Individuals in response to the evolving demands of the modern market for both hotel owners and guests. Joining Radisson Individuals is an ideal first step for individual hotels with strong service scores who wish to remain independent or may be considering transitioning to one of our successful core brands, as well as a strong proposition for local, regional hotel brands seeking to explore additional distribution channels and/or co-branding options,” says Federico J Gonzalez, CEO, Radisson Hotel Group. Affiliated hotels will be able to benefit from the hospitality brand’s established positioning and wide customer base, guest service training, integrated IT and revenue platforms and comprehensive operational systems. 

The hospitality brand announced 15 hotel signings in Q2 2020, followed by 10 additional signings in Q3 2020 in the UK, Italy, Ukraine, Germany, Egypt and Nigeria. The Radisson Hotel, Florence; Radisson Collection Hotel Venice; Radisson Hotel Odessa; and River House Hotel UK are set to open in 2021.
