From a unique Squid Game-themed Halloween to a luxury club vibe, there’s entertainment for all ages at this plush game destination.
What do you get when you mix a stylish bowling alley, a state-of-the-art gaming arena, a plush restaurant with private dining sections, and a banging nightclub? The Game Palacio, in Bandra, Mumbai, is a concept space that’s worth putting on your to-do list the next time you’re travelling to the city.
What struck us most about the place was how it seemed to have multi-generational appeal. The four-lane boutique bowling alley may be very luxe, with polished pinewood and black and gold lines crafted in Hungary, but from stylish Gen Zs to boomers in jackets and hats, from little tots to grandmas, everyone was busy having a blast here when we visited. Comfort is the key. Their lane-side butler service allows you to sip on bubbly or savour a burrata salad as you relax on red velvet couches in-between frames.
Sophistication in spades but it’s a fun vibe. Having a couple of live deejays in a cubicle above it all certainly helps, as they can gauge the mood of the crowd and pump out the perfect playlist. We heard crowd-pleasing favourites from Madonna to Rihanna during our time there.
The gaming arcade has everything from bike and car racing, shooting games such as Tomb Raider, giant-sized versions of old school arcade favourites like Pac Man, as well as the luxe avatar of carnival treats such as ring-toss and hoops. Loads of options for little kids as well as games that will appeal to adult gaming enthusiasts.
We hear that after this one and The Game in Worli, even Navi Mumbai, Delhi and Chandigarh may get their own The Game Palacio soon. For now, this one in Mumbai is not only a fun place to visit for tourists, but also an interesting venue for more intimate MICE gatherings or destination events.
