It’s always a party at O Pedro
The run up to Christmas is the time when every restaurant worth its salt dishes out amazing fare… However, O Pedro does it on a consistent basis. The restaurant recently turned five, and held a month-long celebration, where patrons were treated to delectable dishes.
Think Pastel De Queijo with baked brie, caramelized onions, smoked pepper fondue, and bitter greens; Chilled ‘Caldo Verde’ served with house-made cheese, leek mousse, and kale chips; and the Portuguese-inspired Mushroom Bul-Hao Pato made with spiced pastry, smoked squash puree and pickled onions. A special mention for the Caldo Verde: This preparation of Kale can be relished (and how) by die-hard non-vegetarians as well!

And if that doesn’t set your palate pulsating, think about Beef Tartare ‘Cutless Poee’ served with coconut vinegar cream, spicy salsa and kokum crackers; grilled Octopus ‘ambo-tik’ in a kokum-red chilli masala presented with a crisp snow pea salad; Bone Marrow ‘aad-maas’ in charred chili- tamarind gravy, pickles served with toasted poee; and Pork Belly Stuffed Peppers with shrimps, crispy garlic, and tamarind ponzu. A twist on the traditional? You got it right here.
