Hello from a very warm Goa, which hasn’t partied its way into 2023.

Just as I hope you have done, armed with your favourite tipple. I hope some of you have found the will to jaunt out of your bed to catch the year’s first sunrise, always an energising sight. There is something magical about the last sunset of the previous year, and the first sunrise of the year we are stepping in.

I also hope that you are getting set for fresh adventures and experiencing more of the magic that travel introduces into our lives. To help you plan is a helpful guide from TravelDine’s fabulous travel team. TravelDine’s Top 23 destinations to travel to in 2023 offers a list of inspiring journeys to go on.

Benesse art site

From the beaches of Montenegro to scenic Marrakech with centuries-old souks, Arittapatti in Tamil Nadu, India’s newest biodiversity sites, and the one that is on my agenda, Hanle in Ladakh, the country’s first dark sky sanctuary… There is a wealth of information and ideas you can mine from.

As a traveller I know what is on my travel list: Destinations such as Naoshima in Japan, home to the famous Benesse Art Site, for my art fix; Mustang in Nepal, steeped in centuries of worship and with a strong spiritual undertone; Jeypore in Odisha with its secluded caves and deep forestland; and Kuno to explore how India’s rendezvous with the cheetahs have turned out for the beautiful African cats.

Each one of us is on a personal journey every time we travel and where we choose to go depends on what sort of journey we are on. I hope TravelDine continues to enthral you with its travel content and introduces you to magic with everything we put out there, through our content, videos, and social media.

Enjoy the ride.
