There’s nothing like cracking open or pouring yourself a glass of some amazing craft beer. Drifters Breweries’ summer lineup is catering to the same, headlined by new invigorating summer brews.

Any summertime special is bound to include citrus notes through and through, perfect to beat the heat. Drifters is here with their own take on the classic flavours, and have come up with two new mango brew launches. There’s also a hybrid of lager and ale beers to match the flavour of the season.

This mango mosaic pale ale made with alphonso mango is perhaps the fruitiest beer you'll have this summer.

First up is the delectable Mango Mosaic pale ale. Infused with alphonso mango, this pale ale style beer is medium-bodied. One sip will have you raving over the fruity aromas of guava, mango, passion fruit, and of course, the subtle sweetness of mango. It is ideal for sunny days with 16 IBU (non-bitter), 5.0% ABV.

The mango wit is not too far in terms of flavour, making for one of drifters' more ambitious offerings.

The energising and flavourful Mango Wit on the other hand, is a full bodied, creamy wit brewed with a generous amount of ripe alphonso mangoes. The addition of fresh fruit makes for an unmistakably tropical flavour, adding a revitalising aroma to the brew. It is perfect and an all-around summertime winner with 4.7% ABV.

Another new launch sure to tickle your tastebuds is Kolsch (German-style), crisp, delicate and very easy to drink. The German-style Kolsch is a hybrid beer of lager beers and ale beers. It is light in colour and has a malt character. This style’s fermentation process yields a light, vinous character which is accompanied by a slightly dry, crisp finish. The 4.8% ABV, 17 IBU (not bitter).

Drifters Brewery’s origin story involves bringing authentic Eastern European handcrafted beers to Mumbai. Their journey is what led them to name the brand so, symbolising effectively all that they stand for.

What sets their beer apart even in the blooming craft beer industry is the process used to create them. Centuries old, these preparation methods have been passed down by the Czech through generations. There is lesser use of machinery and tasks, like picking barley husks manually among others.

In their initial planning days, the owners and brew master travelled across the country and visited the traditional major hubs including Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, and Gurugram. The same went a long way in helping them understand the palate of Indian consumers and the kind of unparalleled quality required to cater.

The malt and hops were then selected and sourced from the Czech Republic as per research, and recipes designed in accordance with the preferences of Indian consumers. Which has resulted in several growlers brimming with their results always on the go across the city. You’re literally spoilt for choice, what with the new seasonal launches and the delicious classic brews, of course. So, beat the blaze with these cooling summer beers and some mango fun, all courtesy Drifters Breweries.
