Under the spotlight, being our very own Modaks!
These amazing authentic modaks can be found in the heart of the city, D Damodar Mithaiwala and Modakam in Dadar.
Typically made with an outer dough of rice, stuffed with grated coconut, jaggery and dry fruits. Wrapped into leaves. Steamed all the way to perfection.
Cashew paste, simmered to a perfect consistency along with binding products. Shaped into cute modak.
Fine boondi shaped into Modaks. They don’t just melt on the palate, but the aroma is magical.
