It’s the perfect dram-a-day, all on World Whiskey Day this year! The annual, global celebration of the finely distilled spirit is the perfect occasion to whip up some concoctions. The occasion is usually marked by whiskey lovers worldwide with tastings, events and gatherings.

Ardbeg Begroni

Ingredients
- 30 ml Ardbeg Wee Beastie
- 25 ml Bitter Aperitif
- 25 ml Sweet Vermouth
Method
- Stir all ingredients over cubed ice in a mixing glass.
- Pour over cubed ice into a glass, and garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
Minty Midleton Mule

Ingredients
- 45 ml Jameson
- 90 ml ginger ale
- 10 ml lime juice (With wedge squeezed and dropped in glass)
Method
- Add plenty of ice in a copper Mug (or highball glass if a mug is unavailable) and stir.
- Garnish with a mint sprig, cucumber & 1 dash of Angostura bitters.
Classic Whiskey Sour

Ingredients
- 90 ml Jimmy’s Whiskey Sour
- 3 nos. fresh black pepper
- 60 ml whiskey
Method
- In a shaker glass, drop the fresh black pepper and crack it to release flavours.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and fill with ice.
- Shake well and strain into a whiskey tumbler filled with ice.
- Garnish with freshly grated cinnamon powder.
Smokey Island Song

Ingredients
- 60 ml Oaken Glow
- 5 ml saline solution
- 5 ml caramel cordial
- 3 drops orange bitters
- 1 egg white
Method
- Shaken with ice and served straight into a tall stem glass.
- Finish with burnt orange oils.
Darbari Gold by Narendra Bhawan Bikaner

Ingredients
- 45 ml Jim Beam
- 45 ml orange juice
- 15 ml sugar syrup
- 30 ml jalapeno syrup
- Campari, to top up
Method
- Mix all the ingredients into the shaker and shake it well.
- Serve in the old fashioned glass and top up with the Campari .
Whiskey Sour by Suryagarh Jaisalmer, Draksh

Ingredients
- 3 parts bourbon whiskey
- 2 parts fresh lemon juice
- 1 part simple syrup
Method
- Add all the ingredients to an old fashioned glass and build up.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry/orange zest.
Old Fashioned by Suryagarh Jaisalmer, Draksh

Ingredients
- 45 ml bourbon whiskey
- 1 sugar cube
- A few dashes of angostura bitter
- A few dashes of soda water.
Method
- Add all the ingredients to an old fashioned glass and build up.
- Garnish with orange zest.
Derby Bird by Fairmont Jaipur, Anjum

Ingredients
- 45 ml woodford reserve bourbon
- 22.5 ml campari
- 15 ml simple syrup (1:1)
- 15 ml lemon juice
- 45 ml orange juice
- Garnish with a mint sprig
Method
- Fill half a cocktail shaker with ice and pour the Woodford reserve bourbon whiskey, Campari, orange and lime juices, and simple syrup.
- Shake it vigorously and strain into a highball glass with crushed ice.
- Garnish with a pineapple wedge adorned with fresh mint sprig.
Johnnie Walker Black Label Coco Highball by Afzal Kaba, Diageo Brand Ambassador

Ingredients
- 60 ml Johnnie Walker Black Label
- Coconut soda
- 3 lime wedges
- Fresh coconut
- Ice
Method
- Take a highball glass and fill it with ice.
- Pour the whiskey and top with coconut soda.
- Stir it gently.
- Add coconut as garnish and serve.
Spiced Maple Sour by Mayur Marne, Brand Ambassador, Diageo India

Ingredients
- 60 ml Black & White scotch whiskey
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp pumpkin spice powder
- 20 ml fresh lime juice
- 12-15 ice cubes
- Garnish with a sprinkle of pumpkin spice and a cinnamon stick
Method
- In a highball glass filled with ice, pour the whiskey, add the maple syrup, pumpkin spice powder and stir.
- Top with lime juice.
Smoked Whiskey Sour by Rohan Rege, Beverage Manager, The Westin Goa

Ingredient
- 60 ml bourbon
- 30 ml egg white/aquafaba
- 20 ml passion fruit syrup
- 20 ml lime juice
- A dash of bitters
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 1 cinnamon stick
Method
- Muddle the rosemary and cinnamon.
- Pour all the ingredients in a shaker over ice, and shake well.
- Starin the cocktail in another shaker and give a dry shake for the egg /aquafaba to mix with the drink.
- Pour the drink over an ice block in a can glass and smoke it with a cinnamon stick.
- Garnish with a paper plane.
